HONK! Brass Band Revolution

Dancing trombone and tuba players in white and red dance by, then a band of undead playing tubas, sousaphones and trumpets play the Jaws theme song. A giant wooden bug on bicycle wheels, dragon people, a climate justice float and a group of giant art bikes roll by. A funny troupe all wearing crazy costumes wearing bunny ears delights the senses. Bystanders are invited to join the parade, to dance, play and sing along as the minstrels march through the streets….

Honk is a movement, a community, and an attempt to reclaim public space for communal revelry and insight. Home to creative and inspired musicians across the country and around the world, Honk is a “family” of sorts, there to support each other, play music together, protest and celebrate creativity together.
