The Game of Village

The Game of Village is a place where dreams come true. Young people are invited to become homesteaders on a mini frontier of real territory. In exchange for their agreements, they develop a harmonious and productive community in miniature. Homesteaders are granted a mini acre of land on which their PEEPS (short for miniature people) are required to reside, and make their home. Homesteaders may borrow money on their land at a land bank, without interest, and seek their fortunes as they will, for a stipulated period of time. This film explores this incredible project with an eye for how youth learning about civic engagement, community leadership and a circular economy can help shape change makers for the future.
